It’s been long since I moved from Firefox to Brave, due to Youtube Ads Blocking.
But for some time, Brave doesn’t get to block Youtube Ads any more.
For my surprise, I opened today my old Firefox (v. 115.8.0esr (64-bit)) and it blocks Youtube Ads.
I haven’t installed new versions just in case I screw it all up.
I share this info just in case you want to check that version of Firefox’s code (don’t know if that it’s possible) and get any useful info from it for that matter.
I hope it’s helpful.
Never has no ads at all on YouTube. So not sure what you’re on about
When I’m on youtube, I see Ads and have to wait a few seconds till the Skip button appears. Some months ago Brave could block ads automatically so you could go directly to the video. That feature was very handy for playing music without ads (we used it on an independent radio program), but is not working any more.
(I think I used the word “skip” instead of “block”. Sorry about that. Hope it’s clearer now)
@p3rd3d0r yes but I’m trying to tell you that shields, which is Brave‘s native ad blocker, still blocks all of YouTube ads. So if you are having issues most likely you have not updated your browser, you have an extension that is interfering, you have disabled something in your settings, or something of the sort.
