Incognito mode auto filling address bar with links from bookmarks

Description of the issue:

Question: When typing in the address bar, is Brave in either normal or incognito mode supposed to auto fill with suggestions from bookmarks?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave in incognito mode
  2. Type an address using the domain of an address saved in a bookmark

Expected result:

I would prefer it not to auto fill from the bookmarks

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.23.71 Chromium: 90.0.4430.72 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

I just noticed this. There is a chance it has always worked this way and if so I apologize for my question.

you can disable this by going to brave://settings/appearance and turn off Show autocomplete in address bar
