Importing passwords from chrome dont seem to work

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Open “Import bookmarks and settings”
  2. Choose Google Chrome
  3. Check “Saved passwords” box
  4. Press “Import”

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
No password is imported

Expected result:
Passwords should be imported into Brave browser

Reproduces how often:
10/10

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
OS: win11
Brave v1.78.102

Additional Information:

Tried closing and reopening many times but no results

This is due to a change that Chromium/Chrome made on their end that prevents passwords from being imported this way, unfortunately. For now, you can still do this by exporting them from Chrome directly then importing that file into Brave.
