I often need to log in even if I ask to keep me logged

Hi,

Even if I ask to keep logged into a web site, I notice that after a few browser/computer restarts in the day, I often need to re-log in. It’s this is related to cookies, I also have to set the already accepted cookie settings. What could I do to fix this ?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open brave and log in on some web sites and ask to keep it
  2. Restart Brave / your computer a few times
  3. Notice that you’re not logged in any more

Expected result:

You should still be logged in.

Stable 1.16.68
Beta 1.17.58

Hi @jbrenier,
What version of Brave are you using?
Are you in windows 10?
Can you go to brave://settings/clearBrowserData, and check if you have anything under the on exit tab enabled?
Can you also go to brave://settings/cookies, do you have anything under the Always clear cookies when windows are closed list ?

Thanks, I found the culprit, it’a a windows 10 bug offecting all chromium based browsers : https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1069383. i have used the workaround proposed in the discussion in the wait of a real fix from MS.
