I cant send USDC to another wallet from Brave wallet

Description of the issue: i cant send USDC because when i click confirm, an error message appears with no description.
The address is correct and i have got enough gas.

Is the issue occurring on a specific network? Optimism

What operating system are you using? Windows

Brave Version (check About Brave): 1.60.118

Are you attempting to send Native or Bridged USDC on the Optimism network?

I trying to send Bridged USDC on the Optimism Network.

If you remove and add USDC.e on OP with these details do you see a difference?

Did you copy/paste the address or type it out manually?

Visit the Optimism Explorer page and enter in the address you are attempting to send too, then copy the address from the copy button as shown below.

@Evan123 just as I’m watching and learning, how is that the case? Gas fee is 0.000000764983 (that is six 0 before the 7, or otherwise $0.0016) ETH according to what’s there. If that’s ETH on Optimism, they showed in screenshot that they have 0.0000018 (that is five 0 before the 1, or otherwise $0.003919) ETH which should more than cover the much smaller 0.000000764983. ($0.003 > $0.001, right?).

Or you saying that they need to edit the gas fee to be more than 0.000000764983 ETH and that’s the issue? Or is it another type of ETH they need?

Send fees are currently around $.15 on Optimism right now. I only see $.003 in the wallet currently.

I did a test txn and it cost me $0.19

My suspicion is the gas fee isn’t showing up correctly on the confirmation page.

@lucask you seeing what Evan123 is saying? Not sure if you want to add a bit more ETH and try again or wait until a time when/if it drops back down.

Thanks, but I think it’s ridiculous how much ETH I need to spend USDC.

I hope that in the future the cost of ETH to send cryptos from Brave Wallet will become clearer.

Just to be clear, @lucask, this isn’t just to send from Wallet. This is just the gas fees to send from anywhere. Gas prices continuously change based on demand and all. It’s one of the downsides to crypto for me, as it’s a lot of math and unknowns. But I guess people say it’s quite simple as you adapt. You even learn tips and tricks, such as how perhaps sending late at night is lower fee than sending during the middle of the day.
