I can't restore my preliminary wallet

Hello,

I had my computer restarted. I’ve had a Solana account in my Brave wallet with some amount of assets in it. After restart of my computer, when i want to import my existing wallet, i typed my recovery phrases in. After that Brave created me a new wallet with new Solana adress. Why I can’t reach to my previous account i know its adress and its password but i can’t get my solana wallet back. I need support for getting my wallet back. Why i can’t reach to my preliminary Solana account when i entered the phrases?

Hello! You’ll need the original recovery phrase to restore the wallet.

Hello again, I know my Solana adress. I thought maybe through Solana i can recover my wallet if it is a case. Unfournately i don’t have backup as I didn’t know such option exist in Brave. I’m sure my private keys are correct. I didn’t use any other wallets any period of time.

Have you tried importing the private key into a different wallet provider? Do you see the same result?

I followed the steps exactly it is written under the headline “Import an existing wallet” but it just created me a new wallet and my preliminary wallet is gone, it’s just insane.

Yes, i tried on Phantom it shows my new account as it has the same private keys with my preliminary account.

Why Brave don’t have any e-mail account connected to our wallet? We just type our password in, how I’m going to know which brave account of mine is that?

I’m embarassed to ask but how can I find my private key? I didn’t note that down if it is shown when my wallet created.

Please take a look at this article, which helps explain the difference between the recovery phrase and the private key. https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/16291144373261-BIP-39-Recovery-Phrase

Private Key can be found under Accounts > Export.

Recovery Phrase can be found under the Back Up Now option in your wallet menu.

If you did not backup your original recovery phrase or private key, the original wallet address will not be shown.
