How to turn off or automatically close download status bar?

Description of the issue:

When I download a file, a thick status bar appears at the bottom of the window. Can I make this status bar go away automatically? Or can we have a option to make that download status bar go away when the download is done?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to a site, download a file.
  2. The download status bar will appear at the bottom of the Brave window.
  3. When the download is done the download status bar stays there and must be manually closed.
  4. Here’s a free ebook to download you can use for testing. https://www.baen.com/categories/free-library/a-state-of-disobedience.html

Expected result:

I’d like the download status bar to automatically close when all downloads are done, or just have an option for it never to appear in the first place.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave v1.19.88 on Windows 10

Additional Information:

None.

Count me as another Brave user (and fan!) who desperately wants that big bar to disappear (or never show in the first place). Frankly, this is an instance of a missing option that I assumed was standard for a web browser. Surprised (and annoyed) that perusing Brave preferences and docs makes no mention of this. ATTENTION Brave Developers: surely coding this is trivial. Please include this in future updates. Thanks!
