How to disable bottom "Downloads" bar?

Description of the issue:
The bottom “Downloads” bar is VERY annoying… How can I switch it off ? (When I save everything I read, I have to click X every time I save a page… Showing and hiding the bar resizes the page window…)

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Save page Ctrl+S, 2. Close X in the nuisance that pops up at bottom and resizes window, which makes problems in pages, that calculate content size depending on window size, like an image viewer 3. always again and again and again and again…
