Maybe I am missing something but it’s not clear where you are typing in that screenshot. Could you describe what that box is, or add a screenshot with a little more of the surrounding area so we can see what/where that dropdown box is?

Hover your pointer on elements you want to delete then hit Shift+Delete keys.
