Home button inactive when a new standard or private tab is opened

In the latest release with the nav bar at the bottom, the Home icon is greyed out on a new blank tab. This is for both standard and New Private tabs

This happens all the time on a browser start or if you page back to the opening stats page.

I think the Home button should always be active and believe it was in the past when it was on the top address bar.

Additional Information:
It is not such a problem on the regular page because my Home page is usually in the used pages shown, but when I open a private tab, I like to start from my home page and go from the links on there

And thanks for the report – I’ve tested this on my end and can confirm that the Homepage is only active if you’re on a website – internal pages or NTP will gray out the Home button option.

I will forward this information to the Android team to review.
