Hello, Google Voice gives an error by default on Brave.
“Your browser might prevent calls from ringing. Change your browser settings to allow voice.google.com to play sound.”
There was a topic about this before:
“Your browser might prevent calls from ringing. Change your browser settings to allow voice.google.com to play sound.”
Here’s the part I don’t understand: Apparently, the fix is to add voice.google.com to the “Allowed to play sound” section…but I had already done that and I’m still seeing the error. Any idea why GV is still showing it each time the browser is launched?
In order to fix it, you need to enable an auto-play or sound setting.
In other Browsers this is how you fix it:
In Chrome it’s chrome://settings/content/sound > Allow sites to play sound
In Edge it’s Settings > Media autoplay > Allow > Add “voice.google.com ”
In Safari it’s Safari > Settings for this website > Auto-Play > Allow All Auto-Play
In Firefox it’s Permissions > Autoplay > Allow Audio and Video
What is the Brave equivalent?
Great response. Navigating to brave://settings/content/sound and adding “voice.google.com ” to the allowed list fixes the error. Thank you.
@Revived , this is the solution to the post you made back in January that is now locked.
