Google Docs Offline Mode does not work properly on Brave

Was really surprised to find out in class today that Brave does not properly support Google Docs Offline Mode (extention link below).

Can anyone think of a reason why?

Both browsers (Chrome and Brave) are based on Chromium, so I was surprised to find this out.

Please now: the extension WILL install, it’s just that it won’t be able to open Google Drive if no internet connection is present or create a new Google Doc (this is unlike Chrome, which can do both just fine).
