"Go to download site" makes Brave go to an older version of Brave

I’m using the latest Brave. If I have other programs that need updating, that program will ask me if I want to go to the website for the update.
However, when I do that, it doesn’t go to the website, but brings up a Brave page that says, “Yeah, congrats, you made it!” You made it to the last day that we can allow you to safely use this old version of Brave."

How can I stop this from happening and have my updates for the other programs go to the websites that I need?

Seems like you still have old, deprecated Brave (muon) version installed on your machine @captainnemo. The one with congrats message.

You can uninstall it if you already have all your data on new Brave. Then set the new Brave as default.
