Forced to search with bing, what can i do?

I cannot search with the brave search engine. Every browser i tried is forcing me to search with bing. It says that my Browser is managed by an organisation, but it’s my private computer. I already tried resetting the group policies on my PC, tried to remove it somehow, reinstalled brave and it still does’nt work. It happened on the same day when chromium got updated in August.
I would be very greatful if someone could help me, cause i don’t want to reset my PC…

Hi @Cololin64, what OS and Brave version are you running?

The brave version is v1.70.123 and my OS is Windows 10

now its searching with yahoo i dont understand it pls help

Forgive me if you’ve looked at these settings but just to cover the bases, have you looked at the settings under these places (below)?

brave://settings/search

brave://settings/searchEngines

Yes there it also says that i cannot change it because i am not the administrator from “my organisation”.

and BTW @Cololin64 , I’ve found it’s helpful to mention them so they see you are actively responding to resolve the issue :wink: … I’ve done it now but for future reference :wink:

Can you please go to brave://policy share a screenshot of what appears on this page? Additionally, do you have any extensions installed at this time?
