Internal error 500

Description of the issue:
Well, my search engine isn’t allowing me to search. I can visit websites if I know the address, or if it autofills, but I can’t search for anything. It’ll load for like two seconds and show a: 500 Internal Error screen. I typically use a VPN, so I thought that maybe that was the problem, so I turned it off, didn’t work. Tried messing with my antivirus (which is just windows defender, so it shouldn’t be a problem) and that didn’t work either. It was honestly really difficult to get to this site at all to file a complaint, cause I can’t search for anything. I’m literally at my wits end. I’ve really enjoyed this browser so far but I can’t take much more of this anymore. It works just fine on my phone and iPad, just my laptop for some reason after the update it just doesn’t work anymore.
