Description of the issue:
I was sending ~10$ eth to my brave wallet, as I set the gas fee low, it took about 2hours and thats fine cause i wasnt in a hurry
But after transaction being done, I saw that the wallet address has been changed! I really don’t know why should something like this happen. This is pretty weird and unacceptable.
Probably, the question in the Report Template should be:
Are you using the (new) Brave Wallet, or are you using the (old) Crypto wallets implementation? (Which, are you using?)
–
Re your issue, it means that something altered your Brave Browser “Preferences” file, in the area where the wallet address is stored.
In order for you only, to view that area . . . in a Brave Browser New Window, enter Brave URL address:
brave://prefs-internals/
Search for character string:
contract_address
There are more than 1 such character strings, that you will find in succession. Some are associated with either a blank (no address) or obscure characters.
You will become familiar with how that area appears / should appear.
Your address cannot change, it is possible to have multiple accounts (addresses) though. Maybe in the wallet icon on the top right you selected a different account?
