Error: Region not supported (US) Uphold wallet

Hi,
I am trying to log into Brave rewards as I was automatically logged out. All my devices are unable to connect and I get the following error:
Error: Region not supported

Unfortunately, your Brave Rewards cannot be verified because your region is not supported for Brave Rewards verification at this time.

I am in the US, which should still be a supported region. I use Uphold.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi, I am facing a similar issue being for UK. Seems the issue is still not resolved.
Hopefully soon.

The problem is still happening. From research it seems to be a wide spread issue

I read a moment ago that Uphold and Gemini now don’t support a looot of countries but just a few and we become affected by that.

Why? I don’t know but is pretty unfair for everyone here that suddenly we can’t have acces to our own money and specially if one don’t want to give it to creators.

I want to think that there gonna be another way to take our Brave money with another wallet… maybe Binance or Coinbase? Uphold was already a problematic thing from the beginning so, maybe is time for Brave to think in better wallets for their users in the other countries

  • First off, are you still having this issue?

  • Secondly, is the Uphold account verified with United States information? (For example, if you had lived in another country and verified there, then moved to the United States, it wouldn’t have you as United States until you upgraded and showed your citizenship/residency. KYC/AML is everything.)

  • Lastly, if the answers to the above are yes, then you’ll likely need to submit a support ticket so someone from Brave can see your issue and try to help.
