Embedded Videos Auto-Play When Phone Call is Received on Macbook

Description of the issue:
Any video that is paused on an open tab in Brave starts playing when I receive a phone call on my Macbook (through iphone)

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

1. Open Brave, go to Youtube, or any site that has an embedded YouTube Video
2. Play video (doesn’t matter how long), pause video before it ends
3. Leave tab open, leave Macbook open, unlocked
4. Receive a call on linked iPhone - the call should come through on both iPhone and Macbook

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
As soon as the iPhone and Macbook starts ringing, the video from the opened tab automatically starts playing with sound

Expected result:
Video should stay paused

Reproduces how often:
Every time

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Macbook Pro, 2016, Mac OS Mojave, Version 10.14.5
Brave Version 0.63.48 Chromium: 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-Bit)

Additional Information:
I have tried to reproduce the issue with other browsers, and it only happens on Brave

I’ve had this same exact issue in Chrome, so it doesn’t appear to be Brave-specific. In fact, I primarily use Chrome and have been experiencing this issue for a while, but this forum post is the only instance I’ve found of someone else talking about it, so I made an account just to follow this topic and hopefully find a solution!

Same here! Chrome user who couldn’t find any report of this issue except for this ticket. I guess one of us should report it to Chrome. Lol.
