My wallet was connected to Gemini, but in EU has been disconnected. I tried to verify my Uphold account, but here new IDs are made in order to make falsification very difficult. This means that all pictures with the verification app are blurred because of a special filigree and very tiny words. Uphold doesn’t accept PDF or pictures from scanner. My rewards in the browser appear to be = 0, but the alert says that my rewards are coming in 7 days with a specific calculated amount. My questions are:
Am I losing all BATs, since for me is impossible to verify my current ID with Uphold?
Is the total reward stored somewhere in my Brave account, even if it’s not connected to Uphold, at least until I am able to somehow verify my Uphold account?
Do you mean, that when i try use the Uphold secure link, where you have to upload/take photos to your ID/face , the device camera can t properly take an image dues to ID holograms/security?
Never heard of that, but for sure you can manage with Uphold team to accept a video instead image. (they were very flexible with my requirements as well, like proving the source income in a video while my aunt, declares and shows the testament that i am the legally successor. Sounds weird, but the bank statements were not enouch for them. Why? Who knows…).

I always struggle because the document is not readable, but my face is in focus. I usually sort out this issue with the staff, but in this case they don’t seem to care much.

Yes, any BATs earned last month will be lost and donated to creators automatically. Until unless you connect to Uphold before 7th of this month I suppose.
Umm. It’s a yes and a No. Those BATs are called vBATs (virtual BATs) they don’t have any cash value and are like credit card reward points. Brave has decided to drop the idea of vBAT so as to keep BATs rewards all on chain. They are stored locally if not connected. They only get converted to BATs (have cash value) when you connect to Uphold / Gemini.
As I already mentioned. It’s stored in local files and not anywhere on cloud or anything so the deadline of vBAT is very near and should be happening this month somewhere.
Unverified users get a claim button which would add these BATs in ‘Your Balance’ section in brave rewards.
