I’ve been using Brave for years and I like the auto-update feature since it keeps the browser secure and up-to-date. However, I have an older MacBook (late 2012) that doesn’t support any macOS past Mojave (10.14.6), and recently, I get frequent prompts from Brave to update my browser version, even though Brave itself notes that my macOS version is not high enough to support the updates anymore.
Therefore, I would like to disable the auto-updates. I enjoy using Brave but (1) I cannot update my macOS to 10.15 and (2) I am unwilling to get a new laptop to support the browser when this one still works well. I have looked around on the web but most solutions are either for Windows or are from several years ago and don’t work for me (I’ve tested multiple).
So my question is: How can I disable auto-updates of Brave on macOS Mojave (10.14.6)?
