It seems like every day (or at least every other day) I have to restart browser for an update. Why is that?

It may seem that way, but updates are not daily. We typically update once or twice every couple of weeks, with the exception of a “hotfix” update, which we will push if there is a major bug or issue with the last update that hinders browser usage and effects a significant number of users (the hotfix will fix whatever that issue is).
Updates contain new features, changes in UI/design, new conveniences and, most importantly, privacy and security updates that keep you safe while browsing online. We highly recommend you update the browser each time one is available as soon as you are able to.
