Crypto wallets won't connect to ledger sometimes

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. import account from ledger
  2. create and send a transaction

Expected result:

The transaction should go to the ledger where it can be confirmed and then broadcasted. usually this works but ever so often it will just randomly not and nothing will show up on the legder. restarting the browser and ledger doesn’t do anything
