Created an Uphold Wallet, verified it and login in via Brave Rewards and my BAT vanished

Hi,

I have been collecting BAT passively for a few months and recently created an uphold account so I could collect BAT via ads on different PC’s. I created the account then signed in via Brave rewards and my 2.4 (approx) BAT vanished and it now says 0. but still shows my old total before contributions.

Uphold support say its a Brave issue.

Can I get my BAT back?

You shouldn’t actually need support, @parallax78 as I believe this to merely be a display bug. If you log directly into the Uphold wallet, you should be able to view the full balance (even when Brave temporarily glitches out and displays 0.00 BAT balance). I believe this behavior to be most common on mobile.

The problem is that my uphold account isn’t showing anything and I tried to contact them but they save its a Brave issue. Upholds response is below:

I’m sorry, I’m far from an expert here, just an excited user / fanboi – it’s obvious your wallet says “Verified” but you’re unable to see any of the funds OR activity on the Uphold Dashboard “Activity” tab – it should display a full list of Past transactions?

That being said, if you restart your phone and open/close Brave a few times, eventually your balance should display again. I regularly open my mobile browser and see inconsistencies between the balances, or very often no balance (0.00 BAT) at all. Does the wallet say “Verified” on the desktop browser, as well?

I would suggest taking this opportunity to make sure you have your Brave wallet seed phrase properly backed up – if all else fails, you could use this information to import your wallet back into your desktop browser (skip down to the lost-wallet portion).

Same thing happend to me. Lost 110BAT a couple of weeks ago. Radio silence from both Uphold and Brave

This happened to me too a few days ago. Had between 2 and 2.5 BAT in my estimated earnings with my Uphold connected before I restarted my PC. Then when I open Brave it goes back to 0 with my Uphold wallet disconnected and the payment date moved from May to June.

Same issue here. I verified my uphold wallet and suddenly the majority of my BAT is gone. Went down from 275 to 17 within seconds.

Thank you for reporting! Please DM with the following information:

  • Copy/paste your Wallet ID (found on brave://rewards-internals)
  • Your OS and Brave version (first three lines in brave://version)
  • A screenshot of your Rewards panel in Settings --> Brave Rewards.
