Issue:
Tried sending some of my Rewards earnings to the Gemini creator wallet I have set up by tipping myself but it says that the recipient is “redditor_1234 on Reddit”. It’s clearly not me but under that it shows my reddit username. Even attempting to tip others on Reddit, the same thing shows up.

OS:
Linux Mint 20.1 /
Version 1.26.67 Chromium: 91.0.4472.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Gemini wallet is verified

What date did you verify your wallet?
May 22, 2021

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?
N/A

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)
No

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?
Yes

A quick note, I would not tip yourself, because it can flag a warning in the fraud detection system and stop you from getting paid for ads anymore at all. Just be careful.

I was concerned about this as well but on Reddit, bat-chriscat replied to a post to confirm that it’s fine as long as it isn’t a token grant.

Rules against self-tipping only apply to our promotional BAT token grants. You are allowed to tip anyone (including yourself) with BAT that you earn via Brave Ads, or BAT that you self-fund with your own money.
