Comment on latest version

My version of Brave just updated to 0.63.48. I’ve noticed that the sub-pages (Preferences, About Brave. etc.) are now in dark mode if that is the desired setting. This is great, however, the bar at the top in a very vibrant pink which is rather distracting. Moreover, the shade is not consistent --it varies from the left to the right of the page. Why was the bar not made orange to be consistent with Brave’s colours?

Thanks.

@Aslan1

You may look under Settings> Brave colors and choose dark or any you wish. I choose Same as Windows, though it give me only dark. No harm to check it out it may fix your issue.

Cheers

Edit : Sorry, I misunderstood your post, I though you ad a flickering on the Browser bar. But you are talking of something else.

On a different note as it pertain to the OP title post:

I did ask on dev build category section, I may be luckier here.
What Same as Windows choice on Brave colors is supposed to do.

Hello

. . . er, I’ve just finished migrating to Brave Core - 06.2.51 [I think].

Will my version now automatically update to 0.63.48?
Maybe it has already?

@Dryad,
In Brave, click the menu --> About Brave and tell me what version number is displayed (note that I’m using the Developer build in the attached image):

ah, Mattches, thanks very much, I see, :dancer:t3: it’s :
Version 0.63.48 Chromium: 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I was beginning to put it together also from this thread :

. . . because I have had previous run-arounds with updating.
I’m getting better at this. :muscle:t3:

[ . . . er, I can’t see where to click that this query is solved?]

@Dryad,
You can mark a thread as solved by finding expanding the menu at the bottom of the post:

Thanks Mattches, the 3 horizontal dots to expand are there in some places and in other places they aren’t. For eg after your last post, this pic shows all that was below it, no 3 dots:

I’ll keep looking for the 3 dots. Perhaps this query belongs in another topic.
