Description of the issue:
I get ad notifications to get BAT from Brave Rewards.
The notifications pop regularly, and I get the BAT rewards.
However, when I click the notification, it just opens my last active Tab
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Have I restore previous session on in brave.
- Click on brave ad.
- Opens the last tab instead of a new tab with advertisers site.
Expected result:
I would expect for the advertised site to open.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 1.11.105 (Why the heck do I have to manually type this!? Why doesn’t long press let me copy this information from About Brave??)

This has been happening for months, I assumed it would fix itself. I am annoyed that I can’t open ads I am legitimately curious about why I am getting BAT for ads that cannot be opened.
In my attached photos I show that I have a notification ad. Privacy something. I show that the app is not currently running. Then I click the notification where l which takes me to the last tab I had open. (Brave support.) The same behavior happens if the app is open.
