Not sure what you’re referencing? Did it say something about Akismet? If so, that’s an anti-spam thing which can be triggered based on certain words or phrases, among other types of actions.
That’s not visible to anyone except perhaps Brave Support, if it’s still in spam filter. Regardless, we have no information.
This would be your device or browser specific issue. I use ChatGPT on a daily basis to answer questions family ask for help on, but also for things I’m curious about. For example:
You’re not sharing any error messages or saying what’s happening when you attempt to go. You also didn’t share which version of Brave, your OS, or anything else. And in saying you tried on other devices, are you adding extensions or changing settings? Using a VPN?
So there’s really not any good starting place on trying to offer you assistance as you have told us absolutely nothing.
My browser is fully updated, it doesn’t say any errors but just loads infinitely.
I am not using any sort of VPN and adjusted multiple settings, all though it does work on Firefox it doesn’t work on Brave.
I am not sure if this is an issue with 2FA since it is turned on.
Specifically, which version of Brave are you using? I know you say things like “my browser is fully updated” but responses from people like that have been incorrect and misleading before. As such, I like to be very clear on this.
Can you try in private window?
Assuming Windows or Linux, can you press F12 to open Dev Tools and check under Console to see if it’s showing any errors there? If there are, can you share a screenshot? For example:
You mentioned it works on Firefox, but what about on Chrome?
Leaving those differences aside, I’ve also had people who were on something like Windows 7 with greatly outdated Brave, but they claimed it was “fully updated” because the version they were using was the last update they could get.
It’s silly but those little things can be enough to make some big differences. It’s kind of similar in terms of which OS, as there are some changes on instructions for Linux, Mac, Windows, etc for troubleshooting.
having exact same issue here.
OS: Linux Mint
brave version: 126.1.67.123
private windows works ok
dev console does not show anything because the request is is stuck as pending (no info either in network)
chrome works ok
@juanmac, if it works in a private window, it likely comes down to one of two issues:
Cookies
Extensions
Private windows create a session with no stored cookies and disable extensions by default. This indicates the problem is probably one of these. You can start by clearing all cookies or disabling extensions one by one to identify the cause.
Configure your eslint config to include eslint-plugin-formatjs

I must say that I have experienced the exact same behaviour. Just that it never let me past the login screen. I would just sit there and solve captcha after captcha (on Brave). I’ve also disabled 2FA and now i can login again…
same here except it was for ChatGPT login: “Welcome back Something went wrong while getting your SSO info”. I also encountered SSO issues with other websites but found that disabling all extensions, cookies reset worked for me for some random unknown reason. I didn’t want to clear cookies for all websites since it’d be too much to login into everything again and slow down Brave with too many tabs open that I already have pinned. I was able to clear the cookies for those specific sites that encountered SSO issues (which was nice that Brave has feature of, unless it’s built-in Chromium).
I sccoured Brave forums and Google Search for answers frustratingly. So much time-wasted trying to find a simple answer or an answer at all that worked.
I switched to the dark side for a time, Google Chrome (which did have more power in terms of getting what I wanted without issue) for a time because I wasn’t getting any of these SSO issues despite disabling shield and one other privacy-health tracker extension, going Incognito, insanely checking for updates, ayyaiyai. Ironically, chatGPT on Chrome was the one that rescued me and I did indeed confirm it was a Brave browser side issue after contacting the external IT teams on the websites I encountered the issue and submitting Brave feedback (which I never heard back about or saw update on here).
Leaving this advice here for others who also ran into this problem one way or another and haven’t been able to resolve it. I suffered so you could survive on Brave, as I post this from Brave. Back on here for now until the SSO issues come back, pray tell no.
