Description of the issue:
Recently the behavior of what bookmarks were displayed as well as how they’re sorted. I used to use the Bookmarks Sidebar to get to the bookmarks in a specific folder. I was able to turn on the sidebar, select Bookmarks, and the folder I was last viewing was displayed in the order that they appear in the folder.
After the update, selecting the Bookmarks Sidebar ALWAYS displays the root Bookmarks folder so that I have to click on the folder I want (and a subfolder) to display those bookmarks, and they are no longer displayed in the order they’re saved in, and I’m forced to sort them which is not what I want at all!
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open the sidebar
- Select Bookmarks
- The root Bookmark folder is displayed
Expected result:
I expected the last Bookmarks Folder I displayed in the Sidebar to be displayed at step 2, and for them to be displayed in the order they appear in the selected folder, not by Name or Date or any other way. That’s the way it used to work before a recent update.
