Description of the issue: When using vertical tabs, you cannot drag-and-drop tabs into the vertical tab panel unless it is manually expanded first. Attempting to do so causes the dragged tab to flicker between showing its regular content, being an all-white box, and being invisible.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable vertical tabs with the tab panel minimized or set to auto-expand on hover (found under “tabs” in
brave://settings/appearance). - Drag a tab out of the vertical tab panel.
- Attempt to drag the tab back into the tab panel and merge it with the other tabs.
Expected result: The dragged tab should become a minimized vertical tab in the tab panel, allowing you to move it vertically to select its position among other tabs before dropping it. Refer to Microsoft Edge for expected behaviour.
