Browser zoom can't be permanently adjusted?

I downloaded Brave to get away from google, but I’m not going to be able to use Brave with the current zoom issue. I have used the side bar under my account to adjust zoom to 75%, but every new page goes back to 100%. According to search results, I should be able to adjust the zoom by going to settings-appearance-zoom. But there is no zoom setting under appearance. I have a bit of a disability that makes the constant change in zoom between pages very difficult to look at. It literally makes me sick (nauseated), and the 100% zoom is too big for my vision issues.
Is there really no way to permanently adjust the zoom so it’s uniform across all pages? How can this be?

Can you try testing this in a fresh profile and tell me if you get the same results? I’m wondering if the zoom (I’m assuming you mean an extension that assists with the zoom functionality, not the actual “Zoom” extension) extension you used left some weird data in your profile which is causing the odd behavior. I just tested this on my Win 10 and macOS system and am getting consistent results.
