Brave won't accept any url if ExpressVPN is on in Linux Mint. Chromium and Firefox work.

I am using Linux Mint (Cinnamon), ExpressVPN and Brave. When ExpressVPN is turned off, Brave works normally; but when it is turned on, Brave does not accept any URL and will eventually time out.

Also have Chromium and Firefox installed and they both work fine.

It seems that this has been reported before since 2023 but those threads were closed with no resolution after a month so I am assuming that this issue has not been resolved.

Does anybody have information regarding this?

Are you using the ExpressVPN extension for Brave Browser(?):

Will ask the team about this. As @289wk asked – can either of you confirm whether or not you’re using the Express VPN browser extension or the app to connect to the service?

I am using the App with Mint Linux. Other browsers seem to work okay
