Expressvpn extension works with Firefox but not Brave

Using Mint 22.1 with Brave 133.0.6943.141 Chromium 1.75.181 .
Expressvpn works perfectly with Firefox, but the extension I’ve installed from Chrome store for Brave doesn’t recognize the Express program already installed. When I click the link to “Learn more” it takes me to
the same instructions I’ve done already. ??? Thoughts/advice please. Thanks in advance for your reply.

@Rlb1,
To clarify, if you view your extensions page (brave://extensions) after downloading Express VPN, you’re saying the extension does not appear here?

“brave://extensions” shows Expressvpn installed.
Let me try again, my bad. I installed the expressvpn program via cli, added the extension to
Firefox via cli and all worked just fine. When I added the same extension (from Chrome store) Brave isnt finding the program.

@Rlb1 I am trying to get an idea of what “Brave isn’t finding the program” means. You are saying that it is installed and appears on the extensions page – so what happens when you try to enable it?

After I install the extension from chrome store I clicked on the extension to set my location settings…etc and the extension message says “App not found–this extension requires the expressvpn for linux with an active subscription.” As Ive mention the same actions with FFox works perfectly…Ive read that other users have reported brave doesnt play well with
expressvpn–perhaps this applies to me as well. I like brave better but perhaps I’ll just settle with FFox.
