Brave wallet sends of Tether USDT another valid wallet address fail claiming insufficient funds when funds ample to cover transfer and costs

Sending Tether USDT via iPad to a valid wallet address fails and rejected with error “insufficient funds” when there is sufficient transfer funds (including costs). Transfer via ethereum mainnet.

Small amount of USDT in wallet (119.25) cost to send .001892 ETH or 3.52835286 USD.

You will need ETH to pay for gas on the Ethereum network. It would need be sent to that wallet or purchased. Here’s some more information on understanding gas fees.
