Sending USDC from one account to another in Brave Wallet (XDAI)

Hi team,
I use Brave self custody wallet on macOS 14.7.1 and Brave Browser version 1.71.123. I am trying to send USDC from one account to another using Gnosis. It seems that the gas fee are never enough. Is that normal or a bug.
Thanks

And maybe use the Brave Rewards form, if you think it would be helpful (and it applies, here?):

So that’s a bug as fas as I understood ?..

A fee, as a “bug.” Interesting concept. Meanwhile, pretty sure that the French says: Insufficient funds.

Pay to play, it seems.

Thanks for teaching me how to speak English properly, not sure however that was the question I asked…

Oh . . . I am stumbling along, and sorry to see that you are stuck with “gas fee gouging?”

Just tried to do a USDC transfer on Gnosis, and this is what I see.

Looks like Gnosis gas fees are not being fetched for you (see my highlights and compare with yours).

Edit: Looks like we’re unable to fetch pricing information, which is why you cannot approve the transaction.

Can you please check the RPC URL you’re using for Gnosis chain? You can find this by navigating to Settings > Web3 > Wallet Networks.

Thanks for checking and helping. My Gnosis RPC URL is 0x64 https://rpc.gnosischain.com/

RPC looks good. :+1:

Let’s now look at the wallet panel’s logs. First make sure that the wallet is unlocked and the transaction has been created in the panel.

Then visit brave://wallet-panel.top-chrome and open the developer console (Opt + Cmd + J) to see if there’s anything notable in the logs.

That’s what I have in the log…

@onyb any update? Thanks

@Evan123 and @onyb wanted to tag you back on this

Maybe not enough time since last tagged, but going to throw in @Mattches and @steeven as well.

Mainly because I’m seeing it’s been 19 days since OP initially responded to Onyb and then things fell off. And this is definitely way beyond anything I’m good at helping with.

If not you guys, then hopefully you can loop in whoever knows best. Thanks

And @ehquionest can you confirm this is still an issue. Not to mention which version of Brave and all you’re using now. (would rather you say specific version than just assume)

Hi @Saoiray thanks for helping even if this issue is beyond anything

My Brave version is 1.73.91 right now and yes I still have the issue… Below is a new screenshot: The message says “Insuffisant funds for the transaction”, showing gas fee of 0.000064233 XDAI but I do have 3.5 XDAI in my wallet.

I just want also to confirm that I am sending from one account to an other account in the same Brave Wallet.

Thanks

Hi @ehquionest I apologize for the delay. I was unable to replicate your issue when I added USDC and tried sending it over Gnosis.

Did you add the USDC token manually in your wallet? If you lowered your USDC send to $26 do you see the same experience?

Thanks!

Hi @Evan123 thanks for checking. I added USDC manually indeed and so receive USDC frequently from an external wallet.
I tried sending $25, $20, $15. Same issue…

Would you mind deleting the current USDC token on Gnosis and re-adding with the below contract details?

If you open Brave Wallet in a Private Window do you see the same results? You can enable it here: brave://settings/web3

Thanks!

Can you just remind me the place to remove/add token in settings? Thanks

It can be done from this icon on your Portfolio tab.

Make sure to save changes after deleting. Thanks!

When I tried to send $15 earlier, that’s what I can see now in transactions history…
