Brave Speed Reader settings not saved

Description of the issue:
When using Speed Reader on iPhone (last Brave version available), I can change the background and font size but as soon as I close Brave and reopen it, it comes back to the initial settings

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Navigate a web page
  2. Push the speed reader icon to display the page in speed reader
  3. Change some settings such as the font size and/or the background colour (white to dark)
  4. Close Brave
  5. Open back Brave and start the Speedreader again

Expected result:
The Speed reader are expected to be same as the customised ones (before it was the case).
Currently, they are switching back to original (white + very small font)

Same. Reader settings do not hold after closing and opening Brave.

Can you both please update to the latest build (1.75) and confirm whether or not the issue persists after the update?

I just tested and reader settings are still lost. Opened article, turned on reader, set to sepia from white, opened new article, setting held. Closed Brave, opened article, turned on reader and it is back to the white background. Thanks!

Do you have data set to be cleared “on exit” in your browser?

This is still an issue in Brave 1.76 on iPhone. There does not appear to be a way to permanently change SpeedReader appearance settings. Changes via the URL-bar menu are lost when Brave is closed.

I’m also having the same problem in Brave 1.76. Auto-shredding on exit is disabled. Is there another setting I can look at?
