I needed to contact a manager or the developer, install the brave application, since they recommended me to try it.
I installed it on 12/9/2024 in the afternoon, at night I see my bank account and brave debited me $99.99 USD from a monthly plan that I had no knowledge of and I didn’t even want to purchase it, I already made the refund in playstore and like brave I already took my money, I should have come here to post my problem, it’s work money and I could lose my job if I don’t get that $99.99 back.
I hope have an aswer.

@Lyonarka thanks for sharing. So to be clear, when you go to sign up for the trial it gives you the option to choose annual or monthly subscription. It also gives you warnings in a couple places that if you don’t cancel, you will be charged. Signing up for the subscription is not easy to do accidentally and would require quite a bit of effort. So there’s no way of saying it just automatically charged you. You or someone with access to your device/account would have had to sign up for it and then not canceled in time.
This is the way. Since you made the purchase through Google Play, you have to request through that. In over 99% of cases as long as refund requests are made right along, they will refund it.
There’s nothing further to do at this point except for you to wait for the refund request to be processed. If, for any reason, they investigate and deny you a refund, then you can submit a support ticket to Brave and they can look into things to see if anything more can be done.
NOTE: Just to show you can’t easily subscribe, so it can’t be by accident.
In order to setup VPN subscription you would have first had to go through this. It’s not just a one step thing but requires multiple steps. As you see, there’s option for annual of monthly. And as red circle shows, it tells you that it will automatically renew.
You would then have had to click on the Continue
or Try 7 Days Free
button, at which point it takes you to yet another screen. In this, you’ll see I had switched it up to monthly. In it, they tell you exactly what day you’ll be charged, how much, explain you won’t be charged if you cancel before a certain date, but then as red circle again shows it does explain you’ll automatically be charged if you don’t cancel.
This is at least two screens of confirming and saying you want to pursue. And it was spelled out entirely on what and when you would be charged.
Despite that, if you are instantly requesting a refund, it often is still processed. It would only be denied if they see it as an abuse.
Anyway, best bet is to wait for that reply for your ticket you have already made. If they deny, then come back and inform. Then Brave can take a second look and reach out to Google Play and all to see what can be done.
When i download the app brave i put the 7 days of trial, the app dont take my money, i just suscribe to the app at 9/12/2024 AND when i see my money debit i just canceled the suscription.
It’s free trial why brave take the price if it’s a free trial? I just want my money back.
