Requesting Refund for Accidental Purchase

Description of the issue: Accidentally purchased an annual subscription of VPN through Google Play. It was automatically redirected to be deducted in a money mobile app called GCASH. Since it does not have any money, it made it borrow the money from the app, under GCREDIT. Now I owe the app the money. I have tried to request a refund from Google Play, but they did not grant the request

Expected result: refund the payment

Brave Version( check About Brave): android, purchased to Google Play, Brave Firewall + VPN - Annual (Brave Private Web Browser, VPN) 5,600 pesos yearly subscription

Mobile Device details Samsung A52s

Additional Information: This is from Google Play Philippines, accidental purchased happened yesterday at May 25, 2024 8:38:34 PM GMT+8. I have already sent an email, one directly to suspensions, second using the form.

I just want it to be refunded. I cannot afford to pay for the premium yearly subscription. :frowning:

@p.gt based on what you have shared, this is no longer a Brave issue. You would have to go through this GCASH and whatever, which is a different company. Brave would not have redirected you to that and I’m pretty sure Google wouldn’t have either. You would have chosen to look for and download the app, sign up for it, and apply for a loan.

Because it wasn’t accidental. It’s too complex of steps to take in order to get and use the apps you did for payment.

All of that said, you can try to create a Premium Support Ticket at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003078831
to see if someone from Brave can help, but I doubt you’re going to see a different result.
