Brave lags with Hardware Acceleration turned on

Description of the issue:
When HA is turned on Brave lags randomly when scrolling and switching tabs. With HA turned off the load on CPU rises significantly but there are no lags. I tried disabling all extensions but that had no effect on lags.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Just turn on HA and browse.

Expected result:
There’s no lag with HA.

@kszatan seems to be an issue with your graphics card. I say that because I’m finding similar complaints being made by others last year. You can check examples of links below:

Thank you! FWIW, turning on Vulkan helped and now I experience only small glitches like some extensions’ icons not displaying correctly. My problem with lags disappeared though and the load on CPU is minimal. Hope this helps other people with this issue!
