Description of the issue:
If Brave is running, I can’t use my Macbook Pro’s media keys for controlling Spotify anymore. If I kill Brave, they work, if I restart it, they don’t.
I found that the solution to the problem should be to disable the #hardware-media-key-handling flag - but I did that, and it still doesn’t work.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- Start a song on Spotify
- Start Brave
- Go to brave://flags
- Look for the Hardware Media Key Handling flag
- Set to Disabled
- Restart Brave
- Press the Play/Pause HW media key on the Macbook Pro keyboard
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Nothing happens
Expected result:
Spotify would pause the playback
Reproduces how often:
80%
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
Macbook Pro (late-2013)
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Brave version Version 0.65.118 Chromium: 75.0.3770.80 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Right after having written this post, the HW keys did work. So I’d say that the bug isn’t 100% reproducible.
Here’s my HW info just in case:
