Hardware Media Key Handling option removed?

Since a couple of days ago the option to disable Hardware Media Key Handling in brave://flags isn’t available anymore. Now, despite having it disabled before, the media key popup appears whenever media is playing. Is the removal of that Brave flag intended?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Play any media (e.g. a YouTube video)
  2. press a media key (e.g. certain function buttons on the keyboard to control media play)
  3. a popup in the top left appears with the media name and control buttons

Expected result: The option to disable this behaviour in Hardware Media Key Handling in brave://flags

I’m having this exact issue. Previously I could disable it but now its no longer an option.
