I have been using brave since its launch and everything was working fine until 2 days ago when it seemed like my internet connection slowed down tremendously. I opened up chrome and all of my pages loaded speedily. This has been happening periodically and fully quitting Brave and restarting it has no effect. i am running OSX 10.15 Beta (19A487m) and Brave Version 1.2.42 Chromium: 79.0.3945.117 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Hello, @aandrich3. That version is nice and snappy on my 10.14.6 install with just LastPass and no Sync. Do you have any extensions installed? How about Sync - is that on?
One setting that has a host of strange effects is hardware acceleration, so you might try turning that off, if it’s on. See brave://settings/system and check the toggle (to the right is on, to the left is off).
