Installed Brave today but when I go to YouTube all the videos are terrible looking with no white detail (screenshots provided) the only playback quality options are all HDR and I do not have an HDR screen. Can’t find anything in the settings for Brave and HDR or in the Flags for HDR.
Referring to videos that I guess are uploaded in HDR. 4K HDR video on YouTube
Why does Brave suggest I have an HDR screen?
Is no one else having this problem?
How do you turn this off?
Does not happen on Firefox, Chrome or Safari

@Code_Quad,
I truly have no idea – I’ve never seen this before. Can you try clearing cache/browsing data for youtube (lock icon in address bar then Site settings --> Clear data) and see if you get the same results?
Yep I agree, Updating to 1.21.74 pretty much fixed it. Doesn’t show any extreme whites while watching videos anymore. Looks normal which is great, but still says HDR in the settings which is odd, but I’m happy
