Brave failed to start

Description of the issue:
“The application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect.”
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Not sure. My PC crashed and restarted itself. Tried to start Brave and got the error.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Reproduces how often:
Every time.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Win10. Latest Brave build.
Additional Information:
I tried to locate the event log but I cannot locate it, if someone can help me then I can upload the file.

@JoeOhs can you:

  • try download installer again from brave.com or if you have a copy on your machine,
  • then run the installer.
  • No need to uninstall first. Just run the installer. And see if it can “solve” your issue.
