Brave browser stopped logging into just one website

Description of the issue:
Brave will not log into kucoin.com since yesterday June 6. (All other log ins to other sites work). Kucoin says they have no report of this issue. I can log into Kucoin on Firefox. I use VPN and it used to work with VPN

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch Brave
2. Visit Kucoin.com - enter name/pwd & instead of going to the site, it just refreshes the page and removes my login info.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Next page does not appear

Expected Result:
Upon logging in it should take me to the next page

Reproduces how often:
Always since yesterday

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Brave release - v1.5.1.133 Chromium:

Says brave is up to date

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes

I’m using macOS Ventura v 13.4

Can you please try visiting kucoin.com and open the Shields panel in the address bar, changing the cookie control setting to Allow all cookies (note that this change will only apply to this site) and then attempt to login again once the page refreshes?

Mattches thanks. Yes your suggestion works.
But shields were always up & I want them up.
Is there a way to get back to how it originally functioned?

I’ll cc @fanboynz on this to take a look. That said, you shouldn’t have had to turn Shields completely off for this to work, just the cookie control setting which, as stated above, only applies to this site — Shields for all other sites are unaffected by the change.

thanks - sorry i wasn’t clear - I keep shields on - but to lower the protection a notch keeps it at a 5 (I was hoping a 4 or a 3) so its basically 5 or 0 and I dont want 0. That is what I meant.

Thing is it used to work fine.

Screenshot of shield settings? Changing Cookie/Fingerprinting/Scripts settings could affect the site.

I noticed something today. another site I needed to log in that had a prove youre human - I made a mistake and when I tried again, suddenly the brave shield went up from like 3ish (im guessing) to 11! so there seems to be a link - maybe their site puts more tracking to see if you are a human or robot.

on the new site I did get the shield number down to 3 but it still wont let me enter. Just refreshes back to a login page without my info. Finally I turned off the shields and still it wont let me log in.

here is an example of a low shield number - Twitter - which has exact same settings as Kucoin but Twitter gives me a 1 and K gives me a 5
