I just installed Brave and having used it for a few days, i just realized that there’s no sound coming from the browser. Chrome has sound, vlc has sound but brave doesnt. I have tried the solutions suggested to earlier posts of similar nature and whilst some dont work (because they solve this issue for earlier versions of Brave), the rest couldnt solve my problem. I tried watching a video on tiktok web, no sound. Twitter, no sound. Please help
What OS and Brave version are you using?
I cannot address what “earlier posts” said since I wouldn’t know which posts those are, only what you say here.
With Brave loaded, and after loading a web page that has audio (e.g., Top Funny Puppies), right-click on the sound icon in the systray, and select Open Volume Mixer.
- Is there a volume slider for Brave?
- If so, is the slider not at the bottom (which means zero volume)?
- Is the checkmark (speaker icon) selected, or disabled (hazard overlay icon)?
