Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Brave Beta not showing bookmarks on New Tab -page. It shows it when bookmarks are toggled on, but not when off, like on (official) Brave.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.5.102

Can you share a screenshot of the setting?

I enabled Always show bookmarks on NTP and have Show bookmarks disabled and it’s working properly.

I assume you’re referring to bookmarks as opposed to topsites:

If bookmarks, ensure that you have the option toggled appropriately in Settings:
