WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING WITH BRAVE???
My wallpaper ads are not being count since a week and more. Initially i thought may be it’s one or two days bug, but it is testing my patience now. Even though I’m seeing wallpaper ads and ads are available in my region but still they’re not getting count. And leave alone brave mobile app, my expectations from mobile app are already finished. I’ve not seen wallpaper ads getting count in mobile app since 2-3 months and had no expectations with that too but desktop also started creating issues. Please look into it ASAP.

Hey @chirag_soni_07 !

Currently sponsored new tab pages are only supported fully in the US and Canada regions. Are you seeing Brave ad notifications? (Also note that we have included an option to increase the amount of ads to 10 per hour)

hi @GreenBananaPorridge, if that the case then, why our catalogs show ntp ads campaigns?, Colombia in my case.

and for most countries the ntp ads was the only reliable way to get Bat, which make this situation worse :confused:

Yes notification ads are doing fine. But wallpaper ads used to get more BATs. Till when this problem will fix?

@GreenBananaPorridge Only supported fully in the US and Canada is not true because in the last months it was working for me also and i’m not living in one of these countries.

my pc dosent count ads for 3 weeks any help?

i’ve tried to on and off the ads as suggested in other threads.
On mobile i don’t experience this issue.
The devices are synced.

Hey @codyb @JohnDproof @chirag_soni_07 !

Sorry, I had outdated information on the matter, Sponsored Images are supported in regions outside of North America; it is only a question of the catalog in the region that details which sponsored image is shown and how much is paid per image.

Using a VPN will allow you to see sponsored images from other regions but you will not be rewarded for them.

you know I already knew that, and this doesn’t explain – at least in my case – why the ntp ads weren’t being paid yesterday. I’m very supportive to Brave but I don’t like this kind of situations were we don’t have clear answers.

also talking with @rosiecar yesterday I realize that the ntp Sponsored images component in my browser --up to date – is in a different version with the one in rosiecar’s browser – different regions – and his ntp ads were working normally.

today my ads are working normally again but the components versions are the same… which add more questions :thinking:

Update: ntp ads stopped working again :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@codyb https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ should show you the new tab page ads as the first ones on the list at the top. (unless it is in different locations for others)

I havent been getting credits for ads for months, no matter how many revisions and changes all i see is less ads, lower rewards and no credits for ads:

I know my comment is unrelated to the topic, but

why would a popular privacy-protecting feature such as VPN, trigger penalties in a privacy-loving browser such as Brave?

Someone should really take a look at fixing this.

It seems this browser is bugged above and beyond of salvation.

Even their ‘‘update’’ page where it describes the ‘‘new and improves system’’ has caused even more issue among god knows how many users like losing all BAT tokens and blamed on bug, ads not working, VPN incompatibility (eventho it should be private +cough cough), while their topic was closed WITHOUT ONE REPLY from Brave.

I mean seriously, you have thousands of people complaining for months about a common issue and to this day it gets worse and worse. If you are the loser who paid capital gains for your accumulation and then lose everything then good luck suing this company.

After over a year my error logs are still stacking up, customer tickets tickets left to dust, reward progress lost, not to mention that ads still dont work after using 3 different new machines for over 10 months.

Why am I even writing, this topic will be closed anyway with no feedback.

Hopeless project.

You can use a VPN with Brave and particpate in Brave Rewards (I do). You just can’t use VPN servers outside of your region/country if you want to participate in the Brave Rewards program. This is because advertisers pay to show ads to people who are able to purchase their products/services, not to people in other countries where their products/services are unavailable/illegal/etc. That’s why using a VPN server in another country to collect Brave Rewards is considered fraud and will (eventually) get a person’s Brave Rewards account permanently suspended.
