I used brave to browse CNN spanish site. Yesterday a message was displayed : Use, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, your browser is no supported.
@marilen Could you share a bit more detail about the issue? For example:
- Which OS are you using?
- Which version of Brave?
- Does the problem occur with Shields off?
- Do you see the same issue in a private window?
- Which exact URL are you seeing this issue at?
- Does it happen when you load the website, play a video, or something else?
I tested on my browser (Windows 11) and didn’t run into any problems. Here’s a screenshot from a video at https://cnnespanol.cnn.com/2024/09/10/harris-momento-critico-carrera-politica-debate-trump-trax/

@fanboynz actually, I am noticing that as I visited on the link I provided in my last reply, the video only wanted to play after I disabled Shields. Seems like it’s trying to force video ad. Console is as below. But not quite sure how to write syntax to get past AdFuel and all.
As such, video stays in a perpetual loading scenario:
The issue I saw from the video with shields up. Every 4-5 page reloads, the video would be blank. I’ve removed https://github.com/brave/adblock-lists/pull/2040
- The Anti-Brave issue on cnn.com is only fixed with Brave Shields enabled, and Ads&trackers on standard or Aggressive.
Changing Brave shields settings on cnn.com will show this Anti-Brave message. Just keep the default Brave shields settings. (like the example below)
