After installing the latest update of Brave Browser, the UI and the pinned websites section appear to be bigger than before; in addition, when I use Xorg instead of Wayland my cursor becomes bigger whenever is pointing Brave’s window.
Also, there’s a problem when I highlight text. Before the update, the colour used by the browser was the same as my OS (orange), now, after updating, it switched to a black-ish colour making it more difficult to see what I am highlighting, especially on websites that use dark mode.
How can this issue be reproduced?
I just updated to the latest version, I didn’t do anything else
In Version 1.77.95 Chromium: 135.0.7049.52 (Official Build) (64-bit) I also have a text highlighting issue.
I couldn’t read the text, so I rolled back to Version 1.76.82 Chromium: 134.0.6998.178 (Official Build) (64-bit) where the issue does not occur, so the issue was introduced in 1.77.95.
1.77.97 has been released. Brave still doesn’t use my defined highlight color like it used to in 1.76.82. But highlighted text in the active window is at least visible now (It’s using dark red background with white text).
Unfortunately, highlighted text in a non-active window isn’t visible. The non-active window highlight color is a dark grey with matching dark grey text, so it can’t be read.
