Brave Android opens new window every other time opening the app

The Brave app for Android has been glitching recently where all of a sudden it will open a new window every second time I launch the app. Every other time it brings up the tabs I had open. The only way to get out of this annoying loop is uninstalling/reinstalling. Closing the window doesn’t solve the problem
